# About — Gifts for Teachers

Most teacher gifts are bought in the last forty-eight hours before a deadline, from whichever shelf the store has labeled "teacher". That is the problem this site exists to fix — not by scolding anyone, but by doing the thinking in advance so the December scramble has somewhere to land.

So: every page here is a buying guide. The occasion, the realistic budget, how a class group gift gets organized without a group-chat argument, and how to pick something for a room that has no counter space left. What you will not find is a number we made up — no survey percentages, no invented prices, no star ratings, and no products we claim to have handed to a class.

Nobody here teaches for a living, and none of this is guidance about school rules. Whether a gift card is allowed, what value a public-school employee may accept, whether cash is off the table entirely — that is set district by district and state by state. We will tell you the question to ask; your district handbook has the answer.
